I have the honour to submit for the considera-

tion of His Majesty's Government the following tele-

gram received from the HongKong Branch of this Asso-

ciation:-

*On the 29th October band of river pirates

disguised as passengers seized launch "Feinam”

flying British flag.

Proceeded in her cap-

tured large Chinese launch "Chanfook".

her attacked Salt Commissioner armed launch

carrying treasure.

Worsted in this attempt

afterwards pirated another Chinese Launch even-

tually landing and escaping with considerable

plunder".
